Long Version
I was a chef for a church for 5 years until 2005 and then ventured on my own being a personal chef. I loved it and so did many clients who were primarily dual income families trying to find time to feed there family healthy meals and save time. They often said "I wish you cleaned too". A light bulb went off and that was the start of something Grande!
I know the feeling of having a housekeeper, I've had one for 7 years. The same one and she is great. I am her favorite house because I always leave it neat. Why do I have a housekeeper you may ask? I'm too busy to do it myself and I am a self proclaimed neat freak. I love coming home and knowing that everything looks good, smells good and that night (Friday's for me) I can just sit back and relax. Saturday's - Thursday I vacuum, mop, dust, clean the toilet seat, wipe sinks and mirrors, wash clothes, clean the glass doors and make the beds- EVERYDAY every inch. Then I do the dishes as needed and change the sheets every 3 days. I let my housekeeper do the rest and follow up on anything I missed.
It was second nature as friends and family said "you clean too much" to start a company with amazing service, pay attention to detail and get better with age not worse.
Here we are, I am a perfectionist that is perfecting the way house cleaning should be
Recently diagnosed with BREAST CANCER and after surgery, chemo, radiation and continued treatment we are fighting this crummy disease. While undergoing treatment I started Cleaning with a Meaning, a not for profit that provides free house cleanings nationwide to families that have children that have been diagnosed with a serious illness or injury. www.cleaningwithameaning.org Our goal is that families can focus all of their attention on the family while our service providers take care of their home. This is all volunteer based.
